Hines, the property manager for the uniquely shaped 1983 building, approached BOX to update the existing unleased tenant suite on the 4th floor of 333 W. Wacker.  In order to appeal to a broad spectrum of prospective tenants, Box developed a progressive design with clean lines and strategically placed hints of color that brought life to the space while leaving design possibilities open for future tenants.
The existing architecture of the space brought a unique set of challenges to the project, which BOX embraced in the new design.  The uncommon triangular floorplan and angular bracing were emphasized through the placement of core spaces including the conference room and private offices at the center of the space.  This located the walls of these core spaces parallel to the angled perimeter to accommodate standard benching furniture. In addition, the soffits, custom glazing and millwork all continue the angular elements throughout the details of the space.
